Fantastic trip to Ailsa Craig with Ian and David on Sea Eagle, the weather was against us in the morning so were offered the option of trying later in the day or a full refund, so pleased we were able to make the later time, it was well worth the wait, such an amazing place to see up close, the bird life in particular seeing Puffins up close is definitely one I’ll remember, we were lucky enough to be able to land and have some time to see the old works and lighthouse, dolphins on the way home just topped off a great trip.

The whole experience from booking to the trip itself where great, the whole team made us feel welcome and safe, will definitely be booking again in the future 😀

Brilliant. had a fantastic time on the Ailsa Craig excursion. on the way out you get fantastic views of Holy Island, Pladda and the great Arran coastline. The Rib is surprisingly comfy and dry and skips across the water at some Knott’s 👍🏼. We had the added bonus of meeting a small pod of Porpoise on the way which was lovely. once arrived at Ailsa Craig we were given plenty of time to view the birds on the cliffs before doing a circumference of the island and disembarking for a quick nosey before heading back. The guide and driver were both top chaps and kept us informed all the way. This trip was way above what I expected and would encourage anyone to get onboard, it’s brilliant. 👍🏼🐧🛥️

Great trip made all the better by the enthusiasm of all of the Lamlash team. Many thanks for making the excursion memorable.

  5. Heather

We really enjoyed our trip to Ailsa Craig in June 2025. It was great to do a circuit of the island seeing all the gannets and puffins then we landed on the island and had some time there. We were also lucky enough to see porpoises along the way. The team looked after us really well, we would definitely recommend a trip with them

  6. Kirstine Henderson

Absolutely amazing. An absolute thrill. Highly recommend. This is our second tour with Lamlash Cruises and will definitely be back for more. David and Adam were great, very knowledgable and nothing too much trouble. Amazing to see so much wildlife and to get the opportunity to spend a little time on Ailsa Craig. Thanks Lamlash Cruises

  7. Lesley Hennedy

Thanks David and Adam for a great trip out to Ailsa Craig today – and landing on the island was an added bonus – a variety of birds and chicks – and dolphins en route back. A great trip.

  8. Sue Munson-Reid

Fabulous trip out, well worth doing. We saw Gannets, Puffins, Black Guillemots, Razorbills plus some dolphins. The island is incredible so much history, would love to have had more time to explore it though. Highly recommend, super friendly and great trip with family & friends

Exhilarating trip to Alisa Craig today 2 July. Hosts were knowledgeable and plenty of seabirds. Good to explore the island too. Well worth the money and helpful crew

  10. Rosemary Craig

I’ve been wanting to go over to Ailsa Craig for almost 30 years. I wasn’t disappointed. On the day we had lots of sunshine, but unfortunately strong winds. The Lamlash Cruises team worked hard to get us all across a difficult sea whilst checking we were all ok. The island is stunning close up with lots of impressive cliffs and sea birds. The sea was rough and we all got very wet, but I loved every minute. A fantastic trip, I’d definitely go again.

  12. Miss Michelle Mcfedries

What an AMAZING day. Even as an islander the chance to see Ailsa Craig and be out at sea was so worthwhile. Was a great day and wish I could do it every week on my days off. Cheers to David and Dan .

  13. Jane Macbeth

A fabulous trip and what a wonderful island Ailsa Craig is. So much to see and investigate, so glad we were able to land and spend some time exploring. The trip around the island gave the perfect platform to see the amazing cliffs with so many birds including the amazing puffins and to top it all off dolphins on the way back.
Crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Felt very safe in their hands.

This trip was a dream come true. Ailsa Craig was amazing to see both via boat and on land. We got around half an hour exploring on the island. It was so interesting and after 47 years of visiting Arran it was spectacular to see up close. A bird and nature lovers paradise. Puffins, gannets, seals and even a pod of dolphins swimming along side us on our way back. Dan and David looked after us well and were knowledgeable and friendly. It was just perfect in every way. Thankyou

We enjoyed a fabulous rib excursion to Ailsa Craig with Lamlash Cruises. An exhilarating trip! Amazing to see the awesome sea bird colony – including puffins! Fascinating to learn more about the history of the island and to be able to disembark and actually be on the island that I’ve seen rising out of the sea since I was a child.

  16. Lorna Robison

We had the most amazing experience a few weeks ago on trip to Ailsa Craig with Lamlash Cruises. Great fun crossing the water as Ailsa Craig gradually appeared moodily into view. So many birds including the puffins, seals and fascinating rock formations. A unique chance to explore and then the magical experience on the return sail as the dolphins came to play alongside just by Whiting Bay.
Very professional, friendly & informative crew.
    Would highly recommend.

  17. Pam Roulston

What an amazing trip. It was so well organised. David made us feel so welcome and gave us lots of information before and during the trip. Dan made us feel safe with his excellent skippering of the boat, in some quite choppy water. The sail round the island was so interesting, informative and very spectacular. Can’t quite believe that we got to get off on to Ailsa Craig! It was a firm bucket list activity and it exceeded my expectations. Thank you very much!

  18. Jacqueline Heron

Amazing trip. Felt very special to visit Ailsa Craig, land on the island and get a real sense of its history. And those gannets! The team were great – made the whole experience fun, and it felt very safe too. Totally recommend.

Not having booked ahead we were lucky enough to get a late cancellation. Our experience was first class from start to finish. The crew and reception were friendly and the safety briefing was carefully explained. The seats on the boat were comfortable even when the ride got a little lively. The journey takes about 50 minutes and we sailed around Ailsa Craig and enjoyed 30 minutes landing time to explore before a lively ride back. We thought the price represented good value for money and would do it again. The boat only holds eight so if you want to go my advice is book ahead. Thanks LC for a great experience!

  20. Aileen

Great trip and highlight of our holiday. Well worth doing. Looked after on board well by David and Dan. Thrilling trip over at speed then lots to see on Ailsa Craig and interesting wander round. Thanks again.

  21. Cathy Rooney

A super fun trip out with an experienced and knowledgeable crew. Time taken to see the bird life and seals as well as landing on Ailsa Craig . Would go again in a heartbeat!
